Transfer to new study regulations
The study regulations for the new master course "Sprachwissenschaft" (Linguistics) have come into force and will be in effect from winter semester 2016/17.
Students who are already enrolled in the MA course "Sprachen Europas" (Languages of Europe) may, of course, continue to study under the previous regulations. They will remain valid until 30.09.2019. Students may, however, also transfer to the new regulations. They have the option.
Students who wish to transfer to the new regulations will need to formally apply with Ms. Müller from the examination office.The relevant application form can be requested by e-mail from either Ms. Müller (muei@campus.fu-berlin.de) or from Ms. Höffner from the IZ-office (hoefg@zedat.fu-berlin.de). Applications for a change of study regulations need to be submitted well before the beginning of the term for which the change should take effect. If the change is to take effect in winter 2016/17 then the application must be submitted to Ms. Müller by 23rd September at the very latest!
Modules that have already been successfully completed can be acknowledged under the new regulations as detailed below:

Please note that the relevant modules yield less credit points under the new regulations.

The section "foreign language learning" (Fremdsprachenerwerb) is worth 30 credit points under both regulations. Modules that have already been successfully completed can be acknowledged accordingly under the new regulations.
