Nach meinem Studium in Psychologie an den Universitäten Konstanz und Los Angeles, promovierte ich 1996 an der Universität Tübingen und habilitierte an der Universität Konstanz. Meine beruflichen Tätigkeiten in Wissenschaft, Lehre, und klinischer Arbeit übte ich zunächst ab 1997 als Hochschulassistentin (C1) am Lehrstuhl für Klinische Psychologie an der Universität Konstanz aus und wechselte dann 2002 nach Cambridge (UK), zunächst als Research Fellow an das Medical Research Council, Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, dann, ab 2003 als Reader in Psychology an die Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. 2013 wechselte ich an die Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, auf die Professur für Klinische und Kognitive Neuropsychologie an der Klinik für Psychiatrie, CBF. Seit 2019 leite ich das Zentrum für Neuropsychologie und Intensive Sprachtherapie (ZeNIS) in Berlin.

Personal profile

After completing my MSc in Psychology at the University of Konstanz and University of California, Los Angeles, I completed my PhD in Psychology at the University of Tübingen in 1996, followed by my Habilitation at the University of Konstanz. My professional career in research, academic teaching, and clinical work started in 1997 as Assistant Professor of Pssychology at the University of Konstanz, followed by a Research Fellowship at the Medical Research Council, Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge (UK) in 2002. In 2003, I was appointed as a Reader in Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. In 2013, I joined Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, as Professor of Clinical and Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Department of Psychiatry, CBF. Since 2019, I am heading the Center of Neuropsychology and Intensive Language Therapy (ZeNIS) in Berlin.
