Meine Forschung umfasst primär die hermeneutischen Probleme, die sich daraus ergeben, wenn man unreflektiert an die antike Philosophie und Literatur herantritt und sie mit modernen Voraussetzungen und Deutungsmodellen interpretiert.  In meinen wissenschaftlichen Beiträgen versuche ich über diese - oft unbewusst weitertradierten - Modelle und ihre Untauglichkeit für eine Interpretation des antiken Texts zu reflektieren und sie durch ein kritisches und dem antiken Text angemesseneres Fundament zu ersetzen.
