Study Program

• In the course catalog you find detailed information about the courses on offer (for students in the BA as well as MA degree courses).
• Cultural studies courses specifically for international exchange students are also available.
• German language courses are only offered at the Language Center.

Registration for Seminars and Lectures

• In general, you can register for all courses online via the Campus Management registration system. If you experience problems during the registration process, please contact the course instructor via e-mail.

ECTS Credits

• Courses are grouped into modules. A module usually consists of two or three courses and culminates with an examination. However, the advanced linguistics modules consist of only one seminar worth 5 ECTS credits.
• Exchange students may also take individual seminars and lectures. In this case, the type of examination to be taken must be discussed with the instructor.

• If you would like to discuss your Learning Agreement or need a signature or advice, please contact the respective ERASMUS+ project coordinator at the Institute and/or their office.

Confirmation of Participation and Assessment Certificate for Seminars and Lectures

• If you are registered in the Campus Management system, you can print out a confirmation of participation and assessment certificate after completing the exams.
• If you are not registered in the Campus Management system, please ask the instructor to issue you a confirmation of participation and assessment certificate. The required form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Transcript of Records after Completing Your Studies Abroad

• All students attending Freie Universität via Erasmus+, Erasmus+ Worldwide, or a direct exchange program will receive a Transcript of Records from the International Office at the end of their studies abroad. Students will receive all the relevant information in an e-mail about one month before the end of the semester. However, you must request a Transcript of Records and must submit your request within three months after your departure at the latest.
