Science is a tremendously cooperative undertaking – not just in the abstract sense that we’re building on other people’s work, but also in the concrete sense that our research projects may involve collaboration with others. One example of this is collaborative writing, where we team up with others to write a text together. As all forms of collaboration, however, collaborative writing comes with its own set of challenges: Who does what when, and why?
