Workshop “Gender in Adaptations of Shakespeare’s The Tempest”

9 July, 10-12:30, in L 116 (Seminarzentrum)

The workshop will focus on the gender relations, the intersections of gender and race, as well as feminist, posthuman, and queer revisions in contemporary stage productions and film adaptations of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Organised by MA students participating in the course “Gender in Contemporary Shakespeare Productions and Adaptations”, the programme will include short papers, poster presentations, as well as readings from the students' own creative rewritings of The Tempest in poetry and prose. – Everybody is welcome.
