Institute for Theater Studies

The Institute for Theater Studies is a multidisciplinary institute. It combines the divisions of Theater and Dance Studies, Film Studies, Music Studies, and Culture and Media Management. These individual disciplines offer a variety of B.A. and M.A. degree programs.

The Institute for Theater Studies is an integral part of a comprehensive international and interdisciplinary research environment, comprising various special research areas, research training groups, and a center for advanced studies. The Institute also has its own specialized library, a media archive, and extensive theater history collections.

The library is open on 22 December 2023 until 4 pm. The library will be closed from 23 December 2023 to 02 January 2024. From 03 January 2024 (Wednesday) the library will be open again regularly.
